Sunday - Division Semifinals Preview

Oakley Semis - 11:00AM - (3) 3rd Rock vs (9) Very Erratic Play

The league's first ever tie. What kind of nonsense is that? This is basketball, games don't end in ties! Well, a tie won't happen this week no matter how much the teams talk. Both teams are playing extremely well of late. Very Erratic was last year's runner up, but as they say, they were the first losers. Not this year!

Key Matchups from Week 5:

Otis B. (TR) 5 Points, 11 Rebounds
Jason M. (VE) 18 Pts, 5 Rbs, 3 Ast, 3 Stl

Prediction: Very Erratic Play advances

Oakley Semis - 12:00PM - (1) Newport vs (5) Spring Street

Talk about a clash of the titans. First you have the experienced youth in Spring Street, who've won the championship Season 1 and Season 3, and then you have the older, undefeated Newport team. Back in Week 4, it took two OTs before Newport edged out Spring Street for the win. This intense rivalry will be revisited this Sunday, and it's sure going to be a great one.

Key Matchups from Week 4:

Izzy (NP) 29 Points, 6 Assists
Herman (SP) 11 Points, 12 Rebounds

Prediction: Newport stays undefeated

Mason Semis - 1:00PM - (1) Auto Buckets vs (5) Past Our Prime

The Auto Buckets were tested last week as they avoided the upset against Team Problems. Past Our Prime and Auto Buckets met in Week 7, and PP is looking for some revenge. The only way they stand a chance is to start off strong. It's going to take a lot to take down the Auto Buckets, and I don't think it's going to happen this week.

Key Matchups from Week 7:

K. Malone (PP) 20 Points, 14 Rebounds
Jordan S. (AB) 25 Points, 4 Assists

Prediction: Auto Buckets wins

Mason Semis - 2:00PM - (2) Manacondas vs (6) PF Flyers

My dark horse team PF Flyers almost blew a 20 point lead last week, but a win is a win. They'll need to learn how to close out opponents quick, because the Manacondas will be after payback from Week 3.

Key Matchups from Week 3:

B. Niwelt (MA) 11 Points, 9 Rebounds
S. Rogerson (PF) 24 Points, 4 Steals

Prediction: PF Flyers moves on
