Week 7 Power Rankings

There's a full slate of games this week. Every team is playing.

Rank Team Record Comment
1. Benedict Schemers 5-0 What power rankings curse? These guys are walking the walk. They were leading by 20 against former champs Team X and never looked back. This is the team to beat.
2. Manhattan Pride 4-2 Will the real Manhattan Pride please stand up? This team once looked out of sync losing two straight but now they have reeled off two impressive victories against good teams. They look to go all the way this year to the championship.
3. Spring Street 3-2 Spring Street was off last week. They've got a big matchup this week with Newport at 1:00PM this Sunday.
4. 3rd Rock 3-2 Tough loss against the then winless Money Team. Their schedule gets no easier as they face the #1 Benedicts this week.
5. Newport 3-2 Uh oh. After winning their first three games, Newport is now on a two-game skid. They've got a huge test this week against defending champs Spring Street.
6. Team X 3-2 These guys fell behind early and had trouble coming back in the 2nd half against the dominant Benedicts. But don't sleep on these former champs when they've got a full squad.
7. Very Erratic Play 3-2 They've lost two straight and are coming off a bye to face up against Manhattan Pride this Sunday at 6:00pm.
8. Indie Team 3-2 This team is slowly playing better with each other, but I'm still not convinced. Prove me wrong this week against Hoops!
9. Ponzi Schemers 2-3 When the Ponzis are at full strength, they are very scary. They still only have two wins though. The MVP of floor mopping last week was without a doubt Mike Plude.
10. Titans 3-2 Very impressive win by these guys. The league's youngest team is fearless and is getting better and better each week. Let's see how they do against the Ponzi Schemers this Sunday though.
11. Money Team 1-4 Put them on the board! With their first win of the season, look for these guys to finish out the season strong with a couple more victories. Definitely the dark horse in the playoffs.
12. Stay Movin' 2-4 After coming back from food poisoning, team leader James Kwon made it rain going 4 for 5 from three-point land. With sharpshooters outside along with a big presence down low with Raul, this team has the makings of a Cinderella come playoff time.
13. Hoops! I Did It Again 1-4 These guys need to finish games stronger. With some careless passes late in the game, Hoops! sealed their own fate.
14. Trick Candles 1-4 Team Captain Vin takes its to the hole with reckless abandon but struggled from three point land going 2-12. It's feast or famine with this team. If they're on, they can be tough, but when they're not, they fall behind quick.
15. Super Soul Sonics 1-4 This team is on a four game losing streak ever since losing their big man to a pinky injury. Rumor has it that the doctor has cleared him to play next week. We'll see if they can get back on track this week.
16. Game, Blouses 3-2 Captain Lewis Tse blamed the loss on the gym being too hot. He also had his car towed prior to the game, so I guess that was also on his mind.
