Week 5 Power Rankings

Every team plays this week so it's time to see who is most ready to close out the regular season strong.

Rank Team Record Comment
1. Newport 3-0 After an impressive clutch shot late in the second half by Cheo, Newport’s win over Very Erratic Play showed everyone they're the team to beat. Their promise of a perfect season still holds.
2. Benedict Schemers 3-0 Undoubtedly the better Schemer, this team looks to return off a bye week to continue their pursuit of perfection.
3. Very Erratic Play 3-1 A devastating loss last week handed to them by Newport. They enter this week with a tough matchup against the newly improved Team X.
4. 3rd Rock 2-1 This team is nothing like the one we saw last season. From finding the open man, to Latwan draining the long three’s, this team is a strong playoff contender this season.
5. Team X 2-1 Lenny and Justin, two of their stars from earlier seasons, returned from their absence last week against Indie Team. Could these two be the missing pieces for Team X and their star point guard Nobby?
6. Spring Street 2-2 After a convincing win against Super Soul Sonics, the two time champs face off against Game, Blouses the number 1 team in the standings. This is the start of a tough three game stretch for Spring Street.
7. Manhattan Pride 2-2 With emotions running high last Sunday, Manhattan Pride put up a strong fight against 3rd Rock. Beating the Number 1 team in the the Power Rankings this week would give the Pride a much needed morale boost.
8. Ponzi Schemers 1-2 Coming off a bye week, the Ponzis face off against a surging 3rd Rock team. With point guard Adam controlling the ball and big man Cory dominating the paint, this team will have much to prove in their tough next two weeks.
9. Stay Movin' 1-3 With a narrow victory for this team last week and a phenomenal performance by point guard James, they face up against the winless Hoops! I Did It Again this Sunday.
10. Trick Candles 1-2 They're coming into this next game confident after notching their first win last week. Vinn is their star averaging 17.3 points per game, but their size down low is lacking.
11. Titans 1-2 With a team full of guards, it's no surprise that this team is lowest in the league with total rebounds. Losing a close game is never easy, and we can expect this team to come back strong against the Super Soul Sonics.
12. Super Soul Sonics 1-2 Their hustle and resilience is extraordinary. Spring Street blew them out early in Week 4, but they kept fighting until the end. Their tough spirits and great team basketball needs to be supplemented with better shooting and rebounding.
13. Indie Team 1-2 This team plays exactly as their name suggests: INDIVIDUALS! If this team expects to win games and be a serious contender in the playoffs, they need to look to each other, find the open man, and make better shot selections.
14. Money Team 0-3 This team has lost all three of their games, but none in blowouts. In fact, all the teams they've played are the top four in the league. The schedule gets no easier though as they face the Benedict Schemers this Sunday.
15. Hoops! I Did It Again 0-3 Coming off a devestating loss to the Trick Candles, this team is still searching for their first win. They face a Stay Movin' team in Week 5 who just got their own first victory.
16. Game, Blouses 3-0 Solid win this week against Money Team, but Lewis scored no points last week. I feel for anyone who drafted him in fantasy.
