Playoffs - 2nd Round - Preview

12:00PM (3) Spring Street vs (6) Very Erratic Play

It took an extra period the last time these guys played. It was definitely a physical game and don't expect anything different this week. Although young, Spring Street are the defending champions with two titles under their belt, while Very Erratic Play has been Very Erratic with their play winning three straight then losing three straight. It'll be a tough one, and expect a great game with at least a couple of techs.

Prediction: Spring Street edges Very Erratic Play

1:00PM (1) Benedict Schemers vs (9) Indie Team

After hitting the game-winning three at the buzzer to send the Titans packing, Nate the Great along with his fellow Individual signups look to upset the undefeated Benedicts Schemers. The Benedicts are having one of the greatest seasons this league has seen and they look forward to continuing their historic run through these playoffs. However, they definitely did not dominate the Super Soul Sonics leading to the question–are these guys battle tested for the playoffs? Indie Team has been playing well as of late but they'll need to come together more than ever this week if they think they have a shot at taking down the league's top seed.

Prediction: Benedict Schemers marches on

2:00PM (2) Manhattan Pride vs (10) Money Team

The 10th seed Money Team looked dominant last Sunday led by Chris who was one rebound away from this league's first triple double. This Sunday however, don't expect that to happen with the tight defense Manhattan Pride brings. This is going to be the best game of the day, and if Money Team pulls off the victory, it won't be as big an upset as their seeds indicate. Despite all this, Manhattan Pride only has two losses, and that last one came January 8th.

Prediction: Manhattan Pride narrowly comes away with the W

3:00PM (4) Game, Blouses vs (12) 3rd Rock

These guys met the last week of the regular season, and I remember a player on 3rd Rock saying "I hope we see these guys in the playoffs." Well, it's redemption time for 3rd Rock who after only winning one game last season, has now advanced in the 2nd Round of the Playoffs. ABCHoopsNYC, where great things happen.™ This is the Game, Blouses' 4th playoff appearance. After almost losing in the 1st Round on a late game three, they exerted their dominance in overtime. However, pressure bursts pipes and the Blouses have yet to show this league they can go the whole way.

Prediction: 3rd Rock advances to the 3rd Round
